Farming in Community
At Rooted Northwest, weâre not just building cohousing villages on farmland. Weâre building an inclusive and regenerative farming community in the Cascadia bioregion. Our land is already home to nearly a dozen small farms, growing everything from pigs and ducks, to pumpkins and blueberries, to mushrooms and medicinal herbs! We aim to model living in harmony with each other and the environment by reconnecting farming, housing, and communityârooted in the values of stewardship, reciprocity, and regeneration.

Your donation to the Rooted Farmer Support Fund allows us to provide:

Shared Farm Infrastructure
Help farmers build shared greenhouses, irrigation systems, and farm market stands, and acquire, share, and maintain critical farming equipment.

Land Access
Provide affordable access to farmland for organic and regenerative farmers, including those from historically excluded communities.

Training
Help provide farmers access to training and support in regenerative agriculture techniques, farm management, and sustainable land practices.

Demonstration Projects
Fund pilot projects and demonstrations of growing food through permaculture, and other regenerative farming practices.

Local Food Security
Support development of farm-to-school and farm-to-food bank programs to ensure access to fresh, nutritious food for the broader community.

Land Healing Projects
Help us restore degraded land through sustainable farming and forestry practices that improve soil health, water quality, and biodiversity.
Support Farming at Rooted Northwest!
An essential part of our work is supporting and connecting farmers and land stewards through access to land, sharing resources, teaching and learning, and building community. Farming is hard work, but doing it as part of a supportive community of fellow farmers and residents can make a huge difference. We can only build an inclusive, regenerative farming community with the support and generosity of people like you!
The most powerful way to support farming at Rooted Northwest is to join us and reserve a home in our Village. Next best is to make a tax-deductible donation to the Rooted Farmer Support Fund today!
Rooted Northwestâs Farmer Support Fund is fiscally sponsored by Sustainable Connections during its development period, which allows us to receive charitable donations until we acquire our 501(c)3 status. Rooted Northwestâs Nonprofit Initiative engages in activities that provide public benefit, as defined by section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations made through our fiscal sponsor are tax-deductible.
